Being one of the lucky few who lived in the East Bay and worked in San Francisco, I was occasionally forced to take BART to and from work. When you’re put into such close proximity to so many other people, you get to learn about courtesy and the consequences of not showing it.

Notebook

I love office supplies. I don’t know what it is about them, but I can waste an entire day in the Office Despot if I’m allowed. There’s just something about all of that paper waiting to be written on and the pens waiting to be written with. Yes, it sounds bizarre, but I’ve run into others with the same interests. We’ve made pacts to never go to these stores together. One of us is hard enough to drag out of these places. Put two of us together and you have a combination sit-in/hostage situation.

Purple

Many people think I’m crazy when it comes to the color purple. No, not the movie - the color itself. It’s my favorite color, and I figure that if you’re given a choice between colors, you should go with the one that makes you happiest. Therefore, I tend to have quite a bit of purple things in my general vicinity. Sometimes I’m caught by surprise when someone mentions one of these purple things around me, simply because it’s fallen under my purple radar.

Of course, a lot of these people who think I’m crazy about purple knew me when I had purple hair.
